Pillow Plate is carved from solid acacia wood and finished with natural oil to protect the surface while enhancing the depth and variation of the grain.
Acacia is known for its strength, resilience, and richly expressive structure. Compared to lighter hardwoods, it has a warmer tone and more pronounced contrast, giving each piece a distinctive and lively surface. Over time, the oiled finish allows the wood to mature naturally, developing a deeper, more nuanced patina.
