Pillow Plate is carved from solid ash wood and finished with natural oil to protect the surface while enhancing the clarity and rhythm of the grain.

Ash is known for its strength, elasticity, and light, even tone. Compared to darker hardwoods, ash has a brighter appearance and a more linear grain structure, creating a sense of visual openness. The oiled finish adds a subtle warmth and soft sheen while preserving the natural clarity of the wood. Over time, ash matures gently, developing a slightly deeper tone while retaining its light character.

The softly rounded form and substantial thickness give the plate a balanced, composed presence. Designed for everyday use, it functions equally well as a serving piece or as a tactile object within the interior.
