Pillow Plate is carved from solid walnut wood and finished with natural oil to protect the surface while enhancing the depth and richness of the grain.
Walnut is known for its deep tone, fine texture, and naturally elegant structure. Compared to lighter hardwoods, walnut has a darker, warmer color palette and a smoother visual rhythm. The oiled finish accentuates the natural contrast within the grain while preserving a soft, refined surface. Over time, walnut develops a deeper, more complex patina, adding character without losing clarity.
The softly rounded form and substantial thickness give the plate a calm, grounded presence. Designed for everyday use, it functions equally well as a serving piece or as a tactile object within the interior.
